Regardless, here’s a basic breakdown of mattress sizes in Australia:

  • Single: 92 cm x 188 cm
  • Long Single/Single XL: 92 cm x 203 cm
  • King Single: 107 cm x 203 cm
  • Double: 138 cm x 188 cm
  • Queen: 153 cm x 203 cm
  • King: 183 cm x 203 cm
  • Super King: 203 cm x 203 cm

 

Dining tables

Just like sofas, dining tables come in a range of sizes and shapes, so it can be hard to put together standard dimensions. In spite of this, Dimensions.com have some general guidance on the average sizes of these types of tables.

According to the website, most kitchen and dining tables have a height between 71 and 76 cm. However, there’s more variation when we look at the widths of tables:

  • Square table (four people): Usually between 80 and 120 cm
  • Rectangular table (six people): Typically from 150 to 200 cm
  • Circular table: Usually between 80 and 120cm diameter
